Welcome to the Middle School Technology course website. Middle School Technology covers a vast array of topics all designed to prepare students for real-world Technology application. From using Microsoft Office to write papers, create presentations, chart and analyze data to graphic animation, photo editing, and web design the various units of the Techology course are designed to teach students how, what, when, where, and why computer applications work.

Each unit within each grade ties the curriculum course to a core curriculum course. In fifth grade students use Word and PowerPoint to write documents for English, History and create presentations for Science, Technology, and other courses. The sixth grade learns about history and English as they research literature and world events for their podcast unit. The seventh grade learns how to collect, chart, and analyze data as they prepare for Science Fair. In the eighth grade students learn various art forms and how to present the subjects of their art as they work on their digital photography and animation projects.

It is a robust curriculum that teaches theory and utilizes practice to engage its students. I encourage you to take a look at the following pages, review the course material, browse the project pages, and as always I am open to feedback and any questions you may have.
